Hi Barbara, It does seem that we may have the same family here. My Daniel was born in 1813 also. I have his mother listed as Elizabeth but I don't have any further information on his mother or father. I have lots of information on James Mathis and Sarah Akins and their descendants that I'd be happy to share with you. I would like to know more about the info that you have on Daniel Mathis and his parents. And of course I'm still trying to find out what happened to James Wiley Mathis and his sister Milly L. Mathis.
