This Delilah is my great great grandmother, she was married to William Moses Addington who had my great grandfather, Jessie Addington. What interests me is that James R. LONG's mother was also named Delilah and she was about the same age. His mother Delilah "LONG" filed for divorce in Mecklenberg or Caburrus Co. NC abt 1804 from his father "JAMES". She was not granted one but was given the rights to her own affairs. She disappeared about the time James LONG came to Union co. and we can find no trace of her, or a remarraige. COULD the Delilah below have md. more than once? Does anyone know when her ADDINGTON husband died? I'm also interested in any info. on Mary THOMAS DUNCAN in this census.
