I have a friend who had her first child in her mid forties. It was a very odd circumstance. She had been married for twenty years and wanted children but was never able to concieve. She developed breast cancer and had to have a mastectomy. As a result of the mastectomey something changed in her hormones and suddenly she was able to concieve. She now has two children. Fine healthy boys around 20 years old now.
