Mary Louisa Fair Odom was the second oldest child (of 12) of my G/GF Charles Fair and Sarah White Fair. I don't have a great deal of info on the Odom Family though I do have a picture of Louisa likely in her 60s and I recently obtained a picture of her and her husband, Washington, shortly after marriage holding what is likely their first child. I have the names of their children as: John, Thomas, James, Charles, Dovie (Young), Sarah Lillie Ann and Mae Belle (Green, Herbert). She and her family lived near amd attended Confidence Methodist Church in Union County, GA. It is my understanding that Wash is buried there while she moved to the Cleveland, TN area after his death to live with one of her daughters. I was told by Hoyt Odom (age 71 in 1992)that she is buried in the "big cemetery" in Cleveland. Sarah is buried at Providence Methodist Church near Blairsville, Ga in a marked grave right close by the graves of Charles Fair and Sarah White Fair (also marked). I also have a KNOWN picture of Charles and Sarah taken about 1880 with 10 of their 12 children. Louisa is not included nor is oldest son, William. I have pretty extensive info on most of their children and and have good pictures on all but one (Martha Ann Fair Young). The guy that has that family picture just won't take it off the wall. Charles and Sarah's children ( in order) were: William A. (M. Sarah Tabitha Nicholson), Mary Louisa, George Lee Fair (M. Lola Irene Colwell), Martha Ann (M. John D. Young), John David Fair (M. Claudia Hood), Elvira Rachel (M. Elihew Davenport), Rebecca M. (M. Dr. Van Dan Casteel), Thomas Charles (M. Mamie Cole, Lucille Hall), Daniel Asbury (M. Millie Self, my grandparents),James Elijah (M. Mary Jane Towery), Dock Smith (M. Nancy Emmaline McGee) and Elisha Thurman (M. Minnie Atkins). I will be glad to share any photos or material with you as I am the family historian and would love to have as much info on the Odom family as possible. I should also give you a heads up--the FAIR FAMILY REUNION is held annually on the FOURTH Sunday in July at Vogel State Park 8 miles south of Blairsville. Many of the descendants of those families I mentioned are in attendance. We have never had an Odom attend since I went to my first one 1n 1981 and WOULD LOVE TO HAVE YOU COME AND REPRESENT YOUR FAMILY AND GET ACQUANTIED AND BRING OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS.
