YIKES! I don't know and I have some WELSH lines! <G> I hope someone else will have your answer. I just hate when they do name changes, don't you? <G> I have one Scandinavian line (or is it Swedish?) who changes it from the father's first name to "Son" for a son, and "Dotter" for a girl, so the last name of John SMITHSON's children would be Johnson for the boys and Johndotter for the girls! geee whiz! some say it's quite easy to research, but you would have to take the last name and look at all JOHNs in the area for possible father, right? I am leaving that be for now! <G> I made up the John SMITH, the names are really more like Jones (fill in the last name) and his kids would be Jonason and Jonadotter. Later they complicated it more by taking the Anglo names Jones, and in some cases Johnson. Aghhh. good luck on your question.
