    1. Deaver Genealogy
    2. There is a lot of info on the 1811 Reubin Keith Deaver and family that can be found at RootsWeb/WorldConnect. All know children are given. And you can find the descendency of Mary Lou's brother, John, b. 1844. But, I cannot vouch for the accuracy of the information you will find there. Example: Mary Lou is given as Mary Luarte b. 1841. My guess is that the birth dates of most of her and her sibs is derived from census records. My Deavers of interest are the children of Stanhope Deaver who was a son of John A., who was a son of Reubin Keith Deaver. One of Stanhope's children, John Dewey Deaver, b. 1901, married my great-aunt. There is also an annual Deaver reunion for this family that is held in Blairsville, GA. I think they just celebrated in June.

    1. Ensley Family
    2. BETTY DEAN
    3. Hi, I am currently looking for James D. and Winney Simpson Ensley, who were married in Union Co., GA in 1843. I have this family on the 1850, 1860, 1870, and Winney and children in 1880. Apparently James had passed away by that time. Both James and Winney indicated on the census records that they were born in NC, yet I have not been able to find them. If anyone has information on this family, I would appreciate hearing from you. Winney was the daughter of Shadrack Simpson, and I have tried finding them through the Simpson line, but I am striking out here too. Anyone who can help, please contact me. Betty Ensley Dean

    1. Fw: Deaver and Walker Genealogy
    2. HAZEL PAYNE LeBLANC: I do not have anything on Ethel Deaver nor John A. Deaver. They are probably descendants of Reuben Keith Deaver through his first wife, Lydia A. Thomas. He had 12 children by her and some of their descendants are still in Union County, GA; however, I do not know any of them. I am descended from his second family by his second wife, Susannah Catherine Chapman. In Reuben Keith Deaver's first family he had a boy named John A. Deaver who was a twin to his sister Nancy I. Deaver. He and his sister were born in 1844. I have no idea when or who he married, but he would have been 54 years old in 1898, so I suppose the John A. Deaver you are talking about would not have been him. I am putting this message on the GAUNION web site. Perhaps someone on this site can help you in your inquiry. Garnet Ervin McAfee married Myrtle Louise Walker, both were born in Union Co., GA. I don't have any children listed for them. Garnet Ervin McAfee's parents were Floyd McAfee and Ethel Deaver. I don't have any dates or places for them. The other one is John A. Deaver who married on October 31, 1898 in Union Co., GA. I don't have any dates or places for John A. Deaver, his parents or his children. Can you help me with any information on these families? I would greatly appreciate whatever you have. They are both connected to my Walker line. 1. Fw: Deaver Genealogy
    2. DAVID: I do not have anything on John Dewey Deaver. I am a descendant of Reuben Keith Deaver who came from North Carolina into Union County in the early 1800s. He had two families. His first family was large and many of them are still in Union County. Some of them plan to be at the reunion this coming Saturday, June 26. I do not know any of them. Reuben Keith Deaver's second family consisted of four boys. His second wife was Susannah Catherine CHAPMAN. I am descended from Reuben's second family, specifically from his son Solomon Alfred Deaver who married Amanda "Callie" Chastain (they are my grandparents). Reuben's first family consisted of 12 children and they had a bunch of descendants. John Dewey Deaver is probably a descendant of one of those children. I do not have any data on them. Perhaps some one on the GAUNION web site can answer your question about this man. I am sending a copy of this e-mail to that site, as well as to some of my Deaver relations. Perhaps some one will respond.
