    1. [GAUNION] What's New - Transcribed Court Records
    2. Carol Ann Tindell
    3. Union Co., GAGenWeb has undergone a few changes to it's website. Linda Murray has been typing fast, the Ordinary Court Minutes 1891-1903 from the microfilm roll she purchased. THANKS again Linda for all your efforts and sharing the results with all of us!!!!!!! We now have a new page that will direct you to all transcriptions of Court Records for our county: http://www.rootsweb.com/~gaunion/CourtRecordsOnline.html The link to this new page is on our main page http://www.rootsweb.com/~gaunion/ within the drop down box..."Go Union Co. Searching" and links to each year's transcriptions have been removed and consolidated on this new page. If you can help with the transcription of any microfilm roll, please let me know. A list of records on microfilm is on this page: http://www.rootsweb.com/~gaunion/atlantaarchives.html Our search engine has been scheduled so that all updates during the week to our website will be re-spidered in the wee hours of Friday mornings. Thus, by every weekend, our search engine should pick up on everything and your searches will include it all. During the week, searches may miss 'what's new'. Our search engine has also been configured so that it will spider individual off-site webpages such as the Civil War Muster Rolls with our Union Co. soldiers. As always, anything that's new is also linked from our low-graphic version of our main page http://www.rootsweb.com/~gaunion/indexredblack.html Happy Halloween, CAT -- Carol Ann "Cat" Tindell Jacksonville Beach, FL C.A.T.'s Southern Genealogy: http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~catinjax Researching: AKINS, BERRY, BOWERS, BROOKS, CANTRELL, DANIEL, LITTLE, McCRAVEY, ROBERTS, STANDRIDGE, WALLIS & WOOD{S} Our Southern AKINS: http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~catinjax/akins Researching: A&D of James AKIN, Sr. Henrico Co., VA including his g-grandson, Lewis AKINS who d. 1791 Laurens Co., SC. 1. [GAUNION] Civil War Lookup - died Military Hospital or Prison
    2. Shirley Reed
    3. Back in Sept. you offered a lookup on those who had died in Military hospitals or prisons. If you offer still holds, could you check on a Frances Chandler Belt. He was in Confederate Army first, wounded, discharged. Went from home in Wilson Co, Tn. up to Crittenden Co, Ky. with half-brother who was Union. Union came in and captured him as spy and sent him to Camp Chase Ohio. After investigating, released him on the condition he joined Union Army. He did but took off a month later. Came by father's house in Tn. but couldn't stay for fear of being captured. Never seen again. Have tried everything else. Some records went by F.C. Belt. Thanks for any help you can give. Shirley

    2. Carol Ann Tindell
    3. Say THANK YOU again to Linda Murray who has transcribed some of our Union Co., GA Inferior Court Minutes. These involved crimes made during the Civil War & immediately thereafter and that were bound over to the Superior Court in Union, Fannin & Towns Cos. If those records did survive, you will need to continue your research of these court cases in the respected county's Superior Court Minutes to learn the final disposition of each case. I have added them all together as one page at: http://www.rootsweb.com/~gaunion/inf-crt-min.html 1. In Re: the murder of Elisha STANLEY and Ivan HUGHES 2. In Re: Joseph REID 3. In Re: James Henry ROSS 4. In Re: Solomon DYSON, Daniel M. KILLIAN, Samuel & Marit QUEEN 5.
