Hi Warren, Thanks for sharing your info. Haven't had time to go over it yet, but will share with you if I have anything additional. This is what I have on Richmond Walden Census: 1850 shows Richard, 40; Adah, 30; Sarah, 11; Hardy, 6; Martha, 4; Mary 2. 1860 shows Richard Waulden 50; Ada Waulden, 40; Sarahann E. Waulden, 20; Mary J. Waulden, 12; Henry Green Waulden, 4 mo. 1870 shows Walden, Richard, 60 Sarah, 30 Cobb, Mary, 9 (my grandmother) Francis, 8 (Evidently, the census taker left off Ada and put Sarah as the wife, or I failed to transcribe it correctly. Ada's marker reads Oct. 11, 1819, Oct. 18, 1889. I do not have a photo of the census record) I have found no evidence that there were two Saras (Sallies) Sarah Ann Elizabeth Walden married my gr grandfather, Walton Francis Marion Cobb Dec. 27, 1860 in Wilcox Co.and she died April 12, 1920. They had only one child when he left for the Civil War and she was pregnant with the 2nd when he left. He died the same year, so they only had the 2 daughters. Walton Francis Marion Cobb was the son of McCuin Cobb and Harriette Winnie Lee. They were married in Pulaski County, but reared their family in Barbour Co., AL. Walton Francis M. Cobb enlisted Feb. 24, 1862 as Private with Wilcox Co. Rifles, Co. H, l0th Rgt., GA Vol., Inf.. He was admitted to Chimborazo Hospital, Richmond, VA on June 24, 1862 and died July 23, 1862, died with "Cont. Fever." (I suppose he must have had malaria or an infection of some kind.) Burial in Oakwood Cem., Div. C., Row Q, Grave 77, 3101 E. Nine Mile Rd., Richmond, VA. W. Francis M. Cobb and Sarah Ann Eliz. Walden had 2 daughters: Mary Emma Cobb (my grandmother) b. Oct. 22, 1861, d. Feb. 24, 1936; Frances Harriet Cobb, b. Nov. 9, 1862, known as "Aunt Frankie" (don't have the date of her death. Aunt Frankie m. Benjamin McLankton "Lank" Dennard Nov. 7, 1878. There are 2 unmarked adult graves in the Cedar Creek Cem. which are located next to 4 marked graves that are marked as Harriett, daughter of B. M. and F. H. Cobb, Nov. 14, 1882, Joseph F. Dennard, Feb. 18 - Feb. 28, 1886; James A. Dennard, June 10, 1887 - June 14, 1887; Thomas R. Dennard, April 30, 1896 - Dec. 11, 1912. A lifelong resident of Wilcox Co. identified these 2 unmarked graves as those of Aunt Frankie and her husband Lank Dennard. In addition, Aunt Frankie had 9 other children. I believe Lank died between 1920 and 1930 and Aunt Frankie died after 1930. The 1920 census shows Sal. Cobb, 80, living with them in 1880. I remember Aunt Frankie, but never remember her having! a husband. Since I remember her and I was only 5 in 1930, I feel sure that she died later after 1930. I was 10 when grandma, Mary Emma Cobb Bruce, died. 1880 Census shows: Walden, Richard, 70; Ada, 60; Sallie, 40; Henry Evans, 58, carpenter. Take care!
