Greetings, This is my first post to this list. I am seeking any information on Jesse STORY, b 1767, St. Paul's Parrish, GA, d 1859, Talbot Co, GA, m Mary, maiden name unknown. They had several children one of whom was my great-grandmother Diana L. who m Israel I. HOLLINGSWORTH, who was born in 1817 in Twiggs Co, GA. Israel and Diana are buried at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church near Gordo, AL. These are my great-grandparents. Any info/help on the STORY/HOLLINGSWORTH family greatly appreciated.

Hello List, My brother and I have poured thru the microfilm of the Old Richland Baptist Church records at the Georgia Archives looking for references to our ALLEN line. We knew from family history that our GGGGrandfather and wife, Gideon Allen and Mary Horn, were long time members of the church. Although we found the entry and dates associated with Mary Horn's baptism and a few other assorted attendance and membership records, there was very little historical information recorded in the church record. How and where were marriages recorded in the early 1800's? Gideon Allen and Mary Horn were married around 1828. I think it was performed by Rev. Hand, who was the pastor at Richland during that time. Any suggestions on how to locate further information regarding other events that occured at the church? Best regards, Cary Allen
