I am researching the KNIGHT family from Twiggs Co., Ga. I am looking for any information or descendants of the following families listed on the 1850-1860 census for Twiggs Co., Ga. I will share information I have. 1850- Knight John 34 Farmer Ga. Mariah ( maiden name unknown) 28 Ga. Jane 8 Ga. Washington 7 Ga. Elizabeth 5 Ga. Martha (Patsy) 4 Ga. Sarah 1 Ga. The 1860 census lists John Knight without his wife Mariah and daughters Jane, Sarah and son Washington. Listed are Elizabeth and Martha along with two additional sons John Britt age 10, Benjamin age 5 and another daughter Laura Ann age 8. Children all born in Hawkinsville, Pulaski Co., Ga. Possibly where Mariah's family lived. John Knight's father maybe James Knight . In 1850, John Knight (above) was living next door to- Knight James age 57 Ga. Mary age 50 Ga. Elizabeth age 37 Ga.
