Davis Lee was the son of James Edwin Stokes, b abt. 1848 Jeffersonville, Twiggs Co., GA and Mary Margaret Fowler, b prob. Jeffersonville, Twiggs Co., GA. James Edwin is believed to be the son of Henry Stokes and Bethany Unknown.
