Robert Nobles has provided us with a real treasure --- handwritten membership rolls for Cool Spring Primitive Baptist Church.....(Twiggs County) http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ga/twiggs/churches/coolspring.htm It is so rare that we have access to these church rolls --- and I do hope some of you can identify some of the people listed here. We should all be grateful for this wonderful contribution!! Now, hopefully we can all work together and find out more.... I've made a valiant effort to transcribe the 1879 roll --- but I don't really know the names of these people --- and I'm hoping that someone else will recognize them and help me with some corrections. If anyone has access to any census or anything else that would help on the spellings --- please do a look-up for me. We need the history of this church --- and also the Cemetery (which I assume was next to it) Also the LOCATION --- and the years that it was in existence would be helpful. Does anyone know the Association this church would have been in? I know the Flint River Association of 1828 we have on-line --- but Twiggs is not included in that one.
