Max, you are so right about what great things turn up on these lists --- and it is always because of good people like Robert Nobles who go to the trouble to share their data. And he did go to a lot of work in scanning them --- twice to try to improve the scan... Also it is people like you, Max, who are taking the time to share that you can identify someone ---- As Gaila said so well "dismissed" meant moving to another church....in contrast to "expelled". Where is the mt. carmel Baptist Cemetery? I'd like to add any information you have on your Benfords to a list..... and list them as "probable" no headstone. Although I wonder why she was dismissed. She was Mrs. Robert Meroland (Maryland) Benford. I believe she might have been a Bloodworth before marriage. I also think she is buried in an unmarked grave in the Mt Carmel Baptist Church cemetery. There is a Benford monument there with 4 associated graves. I think that she and her husband are buried there. You never know what is going to turn up on one of these lists. Virginia Crilley
