    3. I sent a post to 2 lists asking if anyone had marriages for three sisters: Gussie, Minnie and Ellie Long, all early 1900's. I also sent an email to the Washington Library, asking if they had this information. Just wanted to let the people who answered me know - the library wrote back and said they found 2 marriages in Bibb County, but not Minnie and Paul Pearce, who of course are the one I am really looking for. So far Minnie and Paul did not marry in Crawford (where she lived), in Houston (where he lived), in Bibb (where both her sisters married) or in Twiggs after 1901. I think they probably married about 1904-1905, but I have no idea where. They lived in Houston County after their marriage, in Fort Valley, until her death in 1910. But in case anyone is looking for Gussie or Ellie: Bibb County, Georgia Gussie Long to George E. Hallman Dec. 20, 1900 J. T. Young Ellie Long to Ollie G. Rowland Aug. 1, 1909 J. R. Joyner, JP Thanks to everyone who offered advice. Let me know if you have anymore potential wedding spots I can check. Paula

    3. Houston County has marriages that are not in books, perhaps because the pages had fallen out and some marriages seemed to just be in a bundle. You could go to the courthouse and look through those. Billy Mills sent in a message about this perhaps two years ago. My cousin Darien went and searched these unfiled marriages and found a missing certificate. If you search through the Houston County, Ga list archives on Rootsweb, you will find this thread. Perhaps try Macon County, Ga which is nearby or Dooley County. Did they elope? They may have gone further afield. Good luck, Gaila ----- Original Message ----- From: "pgriffin" <paula@infi.net> To: <GATWIGGS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, February 03, 2003 4:48 AM Subject: [GATWIGGS] Long marriage lookups > I sent a post to 2 lists asking if anyone had marriages for three sisters: Gussie, Minnie and Ellie Long, all early 1900's.
