Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/5d.2ADE/197.2 Message Board Post: Actually, for these very old wills, there is at least a slim hope that the document was filed somewhere other than Twiggs -- possibly an antecedent county or wherever the person might have lived before coming to Twiggs. Twiggs was formed in 1809 from Wilkinson, so it would make sense to look in the Wilkinson records for very early Twiggs residents. Another possibility would be to look in Chatham or other very early counties in which the person might have lived and filed a will prior to heading out into what was then Indian territory.
