    3. Have you had any luck looking at land records to try and determine where the Solomon Homestead/Plantation was? Bess Vaughn Clark's book "Twiggs County Georgia Records: A Reconstructed Heritage" pages 267-268 has the transcribed bible records for Lazarus Solomon. Have you tried contacting her to see if she has any idea where the plantation was located or who has the actual bible? ----- Original Message ----- From: <auburnfan37@charter.net> To: <GATWIGGS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, September 17, 2004 4:14 PM Subject: [GATWIGGS] Solomon Family > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: Solomon > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/5d.2ADE/519 > > Message Board Post: > > Hello everyone, > > I have never posted on this forum, but have been on the mailing list for a long time. I am writing to ask if there is anybody out there who might be able to help me. First, I would like to know if anybody knows about the Lazarus Solomon plantation. It is supposedly near two miles west of Fitzpatrick, Georgia. Second, I would like to know if anybody knows about the Solomon Family Cemetery. This cemetery could also be on the plantation. I know that Lazarus Solomon is buried there (if it still exists) but I do not know anything else about it or its exact location. On a TopoZone map, there is a cemetery (with no name, just a Cem. mark) almost 2 miles west of Fitzpatrick and about 1/2 mile to the northwest of the Wall Cemetery. Here is the link to the TopoZone map, for anyone interested: > > http://www.topozone.com/map.asp?z=17&n=3625851&e=269625&size=s&datum=nad83&l ayer=DRG25 > > I think that this could be the location of the Solomon Family Cemetery. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Finally, does anybody know the location of the Lazarus Solomon Family Bible? It is reprinted in the small book "A Brief Genealogy of the Solomons" but nothing else is said about it, such as location or who currently has it. If anybody could answer all or any of the questions, I would greatly appreciate it.
