Hi Leonardo Andrea did give some information on South Carolina Clouds that were in South Carolina. This Cloud family married into the Nettle and Schofield (my line) family and many of them migrated west through Georgia. Gaila Surnames of interest in Twiggs-Wilkinson-Mimms County area: CLOUD, YOUNGBLOOD, McDADE, BATEMAN Most migrated to AL in about 1816 and then some continued to TX in about 1845. Primary interest is in information related to Jeremiah CLOUD, whose published obituary in TX in 1861 TX said that he was "born in Twiggs County, GA, in 1784." Youngblood texts refer to CLOUD origins in Edgefield, SC; but, not much else is known. One researcher says the family farmed land in the part of Twiggs County that was taken in by Mimms County. A number of CLOUDs, including several Jeremiah CLOUDs, are known to have lived in the area in the turn-of-the-century (1775-1820) era. There were some in the GA-SC, VA-NC, KY-TN, OH-IN, and PA-DE areas. Sorting them out has been a challenge for a good number of CLOUD researchers. Any suggestions?
