    3. Hi Trish, Thanks for your reply. According to Randolph County, Ga. records, Quincey P. Bailey and Martha Augustus Melton were married March 29, 1853. I am advised that after Quincey was killed in the War Martha married a Teagle and moved to Arkansas. We are in touch with the Bailey descendants in Ark. and have records of the descendants there. My daughter, Linda Rollins, even attended a Bailey reunion there. I have considerable Melton information including your message of 5/8/2003 in which you advised that it was McKinney's descendnts who went to Winn Parish, La. along with my Bryan Bailey b. 1806. Teagles were also on this wagon train. You give me info on the family advising that you descend from Matthew and his daughter. Because of the Quincey marriage to Martha Melton, I have condsiderable info from Melton researchers, so do not spend a lot of time providing me with Melton research. I am trying to find out where my Philip was before 1822 in Twiggs County and would be interested in any Melton who lived elsewhere before that in the hope that Philip was in the same location before Twiggs since the Meltons and Baileys moved together from Twiggs to Randolph to Winn Parish. Of course, would love any connection you have between McKinney and Philip before 1822. Do you know when McKinney arrived in Twiggs? I am advised by Ga. Archives that the Twiggs courthouse burned twice and that there are very few old records.
