There is a connection between McKinney Melton (my ancestor and WIlliam W. Melton Sr., his son WIlliam Drury Melton Jr. and Clem Melton Sr. All mentioned in deeds in Edgefield DIst SC regarding land there (1808) as well as in Twiggs Co GA (1820). Interested in any Twiggs county documents that mention Meltons including Hannah Melton who is mentioned in Stone Creek Baptist Church in 1811. A Hannah Melton is in Marion CO GA early o n - which is where McKinney and his kids went to. Thanks.
