Their surnames were Bowden, Latson, Campbell, Defore, Ard, and Hataway. Many of these people were members of Stone Creek Baptist dating back to early 1800s. If anyone has any information regarding these people or the area that they lived in, I would be very interested. The area that they lived in was once part of Camp Wheeler and has since been mined extensively to remove kaolin deposits.
