He was born in GA according to all the census. He was closely related to Dempsey Odom ca. 1806 (Twiggs) the son of Abraham Odom who migrated to Muscogee County GA. Willis married in Jones county the same year as Dempsey Odom, 1927. I am trying to find any information that anyone has on the Odoms of Twiggs county and near by counties during the years 1800 - 1830. Willis by family lore married a Margarie Mills in Oct. 11, 1825 and then married a Sarah King is Dec. 02, 1827 in Jones county (I have this certificate).
