    3. Lucinda Griffin, age 16, marries Henry Solomon, age 31, on April 18, 1822. In the 1830 census, she is 25, and listed in his household with 2 children and 60 slaves. She also had a newborn who was not listed. She eventually has 9 children. A daughter dies in October 1846, shortly before her 7th birthday. Her husband Henry dies in January 1847, leaving her a widow with 8 children ranging from 23 years to 16 months old. Lucinda remarries Elias Pearce in July 1848, shortly before her 43rd birthday. Elias is 41. They have one child together in May 1849, named Edward. Lucinda dies in November 1857, when Edward is 8 years old. In 1860, he is living with his father. In 1862, Edward's half sister, Virginia Solomon Faulk, and his half brother, Hartwell Solomon both die. In 1863, Elias Pearce dies, when Edward is 14. He may have gone to live with his half sister Geraldine Solomon Beckham, who dies in 1868. In 1870, another half sister dies, Augusta Solomon Faulk. In 1871, Edward has moved to Bibb County to be a school teacher and marries Georgia Allen, daughter of John and Sarah Paul Allen. In 1873 and 1874, his first two daughters are born. In 1875, another half sister dies, Mary Ann Solomon Wiggins. In 1877, his father in law John Allen dies in SC of yellow fever. John is mayor of Port Royal, SC at the time. Edward has another daughter. 2 years later, in 1879, his first son is born, and dies at age 2 months. Edward and Georgia have another son the next year, in 1880. The following year, Georgia's sister dies. 2 years later, in 1883, her mother Sarah Paul Allen also dies. In 1886, Edward Pearce dies suddenly, shortly before his 37th birthday. His son is born a few months later. This son dies in 1888, at age 2. His widow Georgia remarries in 1890. I would be glad to hear any corrections or connections. Paula
