The application (1893)states that his wife was Frances Evans. Uriah was born in Twiggs co. ga. He enlisted in Bibb co.Macon ga. in 1863 Co. A 26th Ga. Battalion for 2 years serving until the war ended. His present occupation is listed as farmer. He could not write his name as it signed with an "X". John Little was witness and described as serving in the same company with Uriah and knowing him all his life. It says that Uriah lives with John Little. It says Uriah has one daughter 24 years old.
