Samuel Pate may have been related to Rev. William Pate of Pulaski/Dooly Co Ga. [Documents written in the early 1900's indicate a relationship, but do not give the necessary proof & may in fact be in error as to the exact nature of the relationship.] Do you have any idea why your ancestor was named Pate William Wood or if there was any type of connection to the Samuel Pate or William Pate family?
