According to an Oklahoma census, his father (name unknown) was from Georgia and his mother (name unknown) was from Alabama. McEwen married Ethel Candace Hoyle on 16 Jul 1891 in Cleveland County, Oklahoma. They had a number of children, some born in Texas and some born in Oklahoma. My father, Roy Clinton Belcher, was born 16 Jan 1909 in Frisco, Oklahoma (Pontotoc County). I have followed your posting and replies and think that there might be a connection here. Plus, your middle name is Clinton also. You mentioned that you also had a cousin named Clinton. I hope you are still following these postings as I am most anxious to hear from you.
