    3. Continuing to work on the Old Stone Cemetery.... I had not realized that the Powell buried here was the father of Hiram Powell.... most of you have heard of this Baptist preacher if you have done research in this section of Georgia! Now, we know there are others buried here.... if you know of any, please send the names to me. Even if there are no longer tombstones, we still want to try to reconstruct these names. I feel certain that many of those listed in the early membership of the church are probably buried here as well. But "family graveyards" were still used more in early days. OLD STONE CREEK CEMETERY (SEE ALSO CHURCH MEMBERSHIP ftp://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/ga/twiggs/churches/stone2.txt ) Location: The original Old Stone Creek Church and Cemetery was about 2 miles from the second one. From what I have found out it is near the Bibb County and Twigg County line on a river called "Stone Creek" WE'RE TRYING TO GET ADDITIONAL NAMES OF THOSE BURIED HERE.
