Thomas, Eliza(beth), Samuel, Joel, Benjamin, John, Abner, and/or Stephen Carter? I believe that Thomas and Eliza(beth) were the parents of my ancestor Thomas Carter, born 8/17/1778. Thomas's brother Stephen was christened in 1794 in Liberty Co. GA. I believe the family lived in Wilkinson Co. from 1807-1809, and the younger Thomas married Eunice Barron (b. 3/2/1797) in 1819 in Twiggs Co., according to a family Bible. Julie, I don't know if we've corresponded previously but my Brewer clan has Carter/Smith/Griffin/Long surnames of Twiggs Co. GA. Grandfather, Lawrence Frank Brewer, Sr. married Elizabeth Smith. His father, Lawrence Frank Brewer married a Griffin. My step-dad, Lawrence Brewer, Jr. had a sibling Loise who married (Guthrie?) Carter. Any ties here?
