He was born in or around Dry Branch/White Springs (in the Macon area), Georgia. I believe the date of birth would be April 4, 1911; death listed as August 1970. Grover was issued a pilots license in 1938-39. Grover Nash was a member of the Challenger Air Pilot's Association in Chicago and a founding member of the National Airmen's Association of America. Any information on Grover C. Nash would be appreciated.

The license is what I have found most frequently, but they may have married after that date. The Minister should have then registered the marriage and say he performed the ceremony. Sometimes a person finds the license and enters in that date for the marriage date. Just one scenario, anyway. In the later instance, it looks as if someone has found a date and made an assumption, I don't think they could marry in two states within 48 hours. Depending on where the source of information is for these databases, one is likely to be based on assumption. kind regards, Gaila

The only information I have on Great-Grandma Griffin/Brewer is listed on Grandpa Brewer's death certificate. This family has been a total mystery. I know my Step-dad attended school in Jeffersonville. Grandpa Lawrence Brewer is buried in Antioch Methodist Church. Living in close proximity to "four county lines" really makes it difficult to research and family member's who I knew are now deceased. I'll definately keep in touch tho and if you find out anything please let me know! sincerely, bob ----- Original Message ----- From: <JDixon8671@aol.com> To: <GATWIGGS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, July 07, 2003 10:41 AM Subject: [GATWIGGS] Re: GATWIGGS-D Digest V03 #68 > In a message dated 7/6/2003 12:01:24 PM Eastern Standard Time, > GATWIGGS-D-request@rootsweb.com writes: > > > Grandfather, Lawrence Frank Brewer, Sr. married Elizabeth Smith. Julie, I don't know if we've corresponded previously but my Brewer clan has Carter/Smith/Griffin/Long surnames of Twiggs Co. GA. Grandfather, Lawrence Frank Brewer, Sr. married Elizabeth Smith. His father, Lawrence Frank Brewer married a Griffin. My step-dad, Lawrence Brewer, Jr. had a sibling Loise who married (Guthrie?) Carter. Any ties here? Thank you so much, Betty, for completing yet another census for all of us. It is on-line: http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ga/twiggs.htm (you'll see that we have quite a number of census there...but we'd like to get some of the earlier ones. Since Twiggs was created in 1809, there should be an 1810 and also an 1820 one. If anyone has access to them, we'd be delighted with just the family head of household names.....you don't need to list the "numbers"....which can make those lists so difficult to transcribe. Even if you could only do ONE page....maybe we could build a team of people to work on this. You can also see Betty's work at: ftp//ftp.us-census.org/pub/usgenweb/census/ga/twiggs/1860/
