Can anyone identify this Philip Bailey? I have a Philip Bailey b. 1760-1770 who was in Houston County, Ga. ca. 1827 who apparently died there before 1840. His known children are Lovecey Bailey b. 1793 in NC, Bryant b. 1806 in Ga., and John and Thomas b. 1800-1810 in Ga. Is this the same Philip Bailey? Any info would be appreciated.

My family's history is connected to The Tom Faulk house which came to be know as Bill's Place. Some of my ancestors were slaves owned by Bill Charles Faulk. Bill Charles Faulk son's were Tommie, Charlie and Shedrick. Tom contiued to run the house and Charlie was a mailman I believe. Perhaps this second Charles is Homer's father. I will check.

No I do not. I wish I did. My greatgreatgreatgreatgrandfather John is listed with 600 dollars worth of Real Property on the 1850 census, but no slaves are listed. I will have to recheck he is living in Alabama. I believe to a Colonel Ethelred ELDRIDGE or ETHRIDGE. I am descended from Henry's brother John. I am also wondering if Lucinda's GRIFFINS are connected to Amelia GRIFFIN'S family. Amelia married Samuel K. OATES Sr. They both hailed from South Carolina.
