We're not exactly sure where they were prior to NC before the Revolution. I think a lot came from VA and PA before arriving in NC. I actually enjoyed the drive and got to see a lot of the state of GA I had never seen before. Addis P. Howard actually met and married my biological grandmother in Atlanta right before he left for Korea. I am trying to figure out if he was stationed in Atlanta or was just living there at the time. I think there were still active Army units based there from WWII at the outset of Korea. I guess they met and married while he was stationed there.
