I have been to the library and found a picture of her sister Carrie (married Wiley Creel) from 1905 and also another book had a picture of the old Shank home that has been restored. I have traced the Shanks and the Loftins ancestry. I have also been to Myrtle Hill cemetery where John Arnold Shank, Lovisa Loftin Shank, Otis A. Shank, etc., are buried. Do your friends, by chance, know about Ida Shank who married J. D. Walker? She was Janelle's sister and her husband was a doctor there in Hogansville. I'm wondering what J. D. Walker's full name was and if they had any children. Ida is buried in the family plot with her parents, but J. D. Walker is not. Maybe she died early and he remarried.
