    1. [GATROUP-L] TATUM/VEALE
    2. Hilda, Have received my copy of "Histories of LaGrange and Troup County, GA" Volume I & II and am delighted. I have found information on the VEALE/TATUM family that my fellow researchers across the US and I had not known, as well as information on the elusive surnames in my family tree such as SCOTT, BROWN, VANCE and LESTER. On page 520 of that book is the following: REUBEN R. VEALE b. 1773 d. 10-14-1839 Troup Co. buried behind the old Nathan Graves Swanson place on Vernon Road, way up in the woods, left a will in Troup Co. He named his brother JOHN M. VEALE and John's son REUBEN HENRY VEALE; a sister ELIZABETH VEALE HARRISON; and a sister NANCY VEALE FRAZIER. Please let me know how to get a copy of Reuben R. Veale's will and if anyone knows who the father of Reuben was. NATHAN VEAL, SR. removed from VA. to Deepstep, Washington Co, GA. He is the first to drop the "e" from the end of his surname. I would like to find out if he is related to Reuben Veale. Nathan Veal, Sr. is my husband's ancestor. Thanks for all you have done. You are doing a great job. Lynda (Tatum) Veal
