I am excited to hear about this list. I have just discovered that I have ancestors in Troup County, GA. They are the Alfords. (Before anyone emails me, I am a member of AAFA but I can't seem to get any clear lines here.) I have been told that the Alfords in Troup County are descendants of Lodwick Alford from Franklin County, NC. If anyone out there has a GEDCOM of this line or can send me a descendant's tree, I would appreciate it. That way I can see how what I know fits into what else is there. Thomas Alford + Susan Bardon in 1849. a. Larkin b. Andrew Thomas and Susan were on the 1850 Troup County census with Larkin as a one year old. By 1860, this couple had died and the boys were being raised by an Aunt, Francis Barton/Bardon in Harris County, GA Larkin Alford married Lucia Dent about 1869. They had 3 children: a. Thomas 1870 b. Carrie 1872 c. Fannie 1874 By 1880, they, too had passed away and their children were being raised by the Widow Westbrook, her 2 sons and her father-in-law in Harris County, Ga. Carrie Alford was my great grandmother. I would love to know more about Thomas Alford of Troup County. I would love to see what information has been accumulated on Lodwich Alford of Franklin County in the form of GEDCOM or Descendant's Tree PLEASE! I do not want to hear that I should contact AAFA.
