    3. Hi everyone, My name is Mike Kelly and I live on the hurricane prone coast of NC, five miles from the beach. I am very interested in Troup County, GA for two reasons. I am desperately trying to find all information, including descendants, of my g-g-grandfathers sister and husband. I am concentrating on the surnames of KELLY and WALKER. Caroline KELLY b. 1849 married a Jowel (Joel) WALKER in abt. 1869. They were known to have moved to Troup County, GA. Caroline died in 1880 leaving a husband and I believe at least three children. I am also hoping that one of the descendants of this union might also have more info on the family tree. Secondly, there are many LaGrange's in this great land of ours. My g-g-grandmother Addie MOORE's family was from Macon County, AL. Across the state line from Troup County. Her brother Wesley's son died in LaGrange building a railroad. The problem with this is that my g-g-grandfather and sons were railroad men around LaGrange alright, but, the LaGrange in TEXAS, not Georgia. What I am trying to determine is if Addie's brother and family moved to Texas with the rest of the family in 1868 or stayed in AL/GA stateline area. I now quite a round about way of asking if anyone knows if there were any railroads being built in Troup County/LaGrange area starting right after the Civil War until say about 1875 time period? Thanks for all the support and help. Mike Kelly firewalker@gibralter.net
