Hi Mary Welcome to the Group. I flew into Colorado Springs two weeks ago to visit a relative in Lake George. Beautiful Country there. They took us over Engineers Pass by jeep trail. elevation 14,000 I think. The scenery was fantastic. It was a thrill I will never forget. Do you have the book A History of LaGrange, Georgia 1828-1900 and Genealogical and Historical Register of Troup County, Georgia by Forest Clark Johnson, III. There is quite a bit of information about the Sledge family in it, did not see a listing for the Shular's and Harris also has quite a few listings. The book is available through the Troup County Archives.
