Hello Everyone, I am not quite sure how to post to one of these things, so forgive my ackwardness. My Staples family was in Troup County before 1850, and like most of my family went on to Chambers and Tallapoosa Counties in Alabama. I keep looking for all those other family names as well. :-) Thomas STAPLES (b. 1796 in VA, d. 24 Sept 1869 Chambers Co.,Ala) married three times ( #1 Polly HERNDON, Nancy ENGLAND, and Mary W. S. (?) ENGLAND). Children: William J. STAPLES (b. 1824 GA d. 29 Dec 1890 ALA) m. Angeline JOHNSON (married 5 Dec. 1848 in Troup Co) (Note: William J. is my direct line) Other children: Lindsey H. STAPLES (B. 1829 m. Margaret Jane JOHNSON 1852 Troup Co and then Elizabeth M. STROLLER), Mary Ann STAPLES, (B. 1831 married John F. GASTON), Thomas STAPLES (B. 1836) John F. STAPLES (B. ?) , David Robinson STAPLES (b. 15 Oct. 1819 married Mary Ann MOON), Elizabeth STAPLES (B. ?), Sarah Manley STAPLES (b. 10 Oct 1822 d. 12 May 1903 married Young Allen MOON), and Tabitha STAPLES, (b. 18 Sept. 1826 d. 1 Oct 1867 married W. S. DENNEY). I have quite a bit of information on this line and would gladly share my files with anyone interested in this line. May I say too, how nice it is to have the opportunity to find others interested in research in the same area and to share hints to make our search easier. Hope you are having great good luck with your research, Glenda
