Hi List, Just wanted to repost my Troup county connection to see if anyone out there can connect. My ALFORDS were in Troup County in the early 1800s. I haven't been able to take them back any further than Thomas who married Susan BARDON or BARTON or BASTON in 1849 Troup County. They are on the 1850 Troup county census with a young son, Larkin, 1 year old. They have another son, Andrew two years later. By 1860, they have passed away and the two boys are living with an aunt, Francis Baston (on census) in Harris County, GA. I would like to know more about this Bardon family. Her name is listed as BARDONon the marriage certificate but I have seen it written in the Alford information as BARTON and the aunt's name was listed as BASTON. Also, I am always interested in Alford information. I know there is a family group and I am a member but I would like to talk to more people than just the president of that group. Anbody out there doing Alfords who are willing to talk about them without being monitored by Gil? He has given me erroneous information by the way. I would like to know what happened to this couple: how they died and why the children went to her family and not to his. I would like to know who their parents were and their siblings. Anybody out there know of this family besides the AAFA?
