I would like to welcome all of our new members who joined our list today. Not only is our list growing it is spreading we have members from Washington State, Hawaii, Louisana, Florida and Georgia. Would love to hear where all of you are from and the surnames you are searching. Today I sent email messages to the LaGrange Daily News and also to the Kaye Minchew the Director of the Troup County Archives informing them about our group and asking them to post a notice. Kay has joined our group. If you have not visited the archives in LaGrange, it is one of the best research facilities in the state and can be reached by the internate. The cemetary archives is an excellent source. They also have several good books for sale there. I will have to post the website later as I have it bookmarked. We also have the pleasure of having David Morgan as a member. David is the Coordinator for the Troup County genealogy project, a part of USGenWeb. If you did not see his post today, maybe he will post it again from time to time for our new members. We are only one day old and twentyfive members strong, congratulations.
