I'm still looking for ANY information on Bays / Bayes and Oxford families in Troup County. Lucinda "Lucy" Bayes Oxford married Abraham Haynes in 1834. It was a second marriage for him and possibly for her also. Are marriage records available in the county courthouse for that time period or do I need to sent to the Archives for a copy?
