Hi guys and gals. Thank each and everyone of you for voicing your opinions. There are still a few we have not heard from yet, but lets give them time, I keep remembering (believe it or not) I was afraid to post. I am however very glad I did, because I would not know all of you. I am going to continue welcoming the new people before they come on board. The reason is I think it makes that it gives the new person a feeling they are joining a very special group and they are. It also gives me a little more free time, because I know that their address is correct and don't spend all my time trying to reach them at an incorrect mail box address when their messages start bouncing. If I don't reach them by replying to it, then there is an error, and it gives me more time to research. As far a people learning about us, that's up to us. When you are searching the web and run accoss a site that has the words Troup County Ga in it or on your other lines invite that person to join us. We are also listed on the rootsweb list under Georgia and a couple of other places. Now back to basics. Let's welcome another new member. Lisa Warren. Lisa has no relatives in Troup County or isn't even searching there. She is observing us, because she is thinking about starting a list for her surnames. She and I met through the Copeland board we have not connected yet, but have really become good friends. If you remember the fires, one night the 3 of July the fires were so bad they were evacuating area's and new fires were starting everywhere. The smoke was so heavy that the smell was coming into the house through the A/C system. Two fires had started and were put out quickly within ten miles of my house that day. Needless to say I was scared. I got on the computer and Lisa was there, I replied to her message and she and I talked back and forth for quite a while. She help me settle down and relax. So let's give her a hearty welcome and show her how much fun we can have and how informative we can be. Now for the exciting news. Besure to read the next post carefully.
