I'm Awb Norris and have been into this genealogy business since Feb of this year. A true neophyte. I thought I should post before I got booted off, so here goes. I was born in Roanoke, AL in 1929. Moved to LaGrange (and with my family) at age of 5. Spent several years in the Dixie Cotton Mill Community, then to West Point, Georgia in 1939. Remained in West Point (also Troup County) until 1951 when I entered the U. S. Army. Now retired from the Army and am a consultant in Computer Technology and teach Internet Classes here in the Orlando area. I am a Norris, married to a Harper. In fact, the Norris family is having a reunion in LaGrange, GA today, but I was unable to attend. Our family search is for Stewart, Stevens (Stephens--in Chambers CO AL), Still (also Chambers CO), Harper (primarily Birmingham, AL), Norris, Gray, and Dollar. These families were primarily in the Randolph County, AL area in the 1800's. Many of the Norris, Gray, and Dollar ancestors are buried in Randolph County.
