I have Crenshaw ancestors in Cobb County in 1830 and 1840--Nathanial Crenshaw and his wife, Sophia Lenderman, and their son William Crenshaw and his wife Matilda Landers. The family came to Georgia from the Pendleton District in South Carolina. Nathaniel was the son of Jesse Crenshaw. The Cobb County Crenshaws moved on to Marshall County, Mississippi, in the 1840's.
