SMITH b ca. 1862 d 1931 m SUDIE A BROOKS b. 1872 d 1934 (Charles, Sudie and Eliza are all buried in Hillview Cemetery, LaGrange, GA) Charles and Sudie are the parents of ( in no particular order) 1) NELL SMITH 2) SUSIE BROOKS SMITH 3) LUCY SMITH 4) HARLEY SMITH 5) HAWLEY SMITH 6) LEON SMITH 7) WILEY SMITH ( not sure if he is ours) CHARLES SMITH owned one of the early automobile dealerships in LaGrange, according to oral family history. 1) NELL SMITH m ???? KONNEMAN ( he died before I knew him, but she lived in Eufaula, AL until her death.. sometime in the 1970's) parents of GLORIA KONNEMAN m GEORGE FERRELL parents of 2 girls, 1 boy 2) SUSIE BROOKS SMITH b ? d 16 April 1981 m ca 1921 THOMAS WALKER TUCKER, Sr b ca 1898 d? in the depression? possibly buried in Cincinnatti OH. SUSIE ( we called her Nanny) and WALKER divorced when my father was young.. around 1924. She worked for many years, but when I remember her, she had retired and was living with her sister NELL in Eufaula, AL. parents of THOMAS WALKER TUCKER, Jr b 5 July 1922 d 29 Nov 1971 buried Woodville, FL m MARY JOYCE RAHN b 02 Jan 1920 d 18 Oct 1997 buried Woodville, FL (These are my parents) 3) LUCY SMITH m HARRY HENNESSY parents of SYLVIA HENNESSY m ROGER GOFORTH ..2 boys, 1 girl (This couple close friends with my father) PEGGY HENNESSY m DAVID SEABROOK ...2 boys 4) LEON SMITH m. MARY DENNIS parents of 3 or 4 boys.. one or more became important in the United Methodist Church. LEON SMITH is the uncle my daddy stayed with in the Conyers Ga area during school holidays when for one reason or another he wasn't able to join his mother. Daddy attended a residential agricultural based school in Monroe, Walton Co., GA. Why he didn't stay with his grandfather Benjamin Franklin Tucker, who was also in the area, I don't know. ( these last few marriages I may have the wife's name with the wrong husband..) 5) HARLEY SMITH m EDITH they had no children I believe he was the pharmacist. 6) HAWLEY SMITH m URSEL.. may have had 2 girls 7) WILEY SMITH m EUNICE I would like to find out for sure when and where THOMAS WALKER TUCKER, Sr died and was buried. If he is buried in Cincinnati.. why did he go up there?? My grandmother and grandfather divorced when my daddy was around 1 or 2. It was evidentally quite bitter, cause he never saw him again. It's too late now for my Dad to know his Dad, but we would at least like to know where Walker is buried. I am curious if he started another family after the divorce. My sisters say no.. but I don't see why he couldn't have. Would also like to learn who is CHARLES SMITH's father, and who are the parents of SUDIE BROOKS. anything further back would be appreciated.
