Hi, I am new to the list and I am trying to find information on my William DAY line. What I have found out so far is that William married in Pittsylvania, VA 17 Sept 1801 to Mary Poley FORMBY (BORN 18 JULY 1786) and they had one son about 1804 in VA. I found William on the tax roll in 1800 and 1802 in Halifax, VA. I then found Mary married to William H. MOORE 23 Sept 1805 in Oglethorpe, GA. Mary's parents Nathan and Tabitha ECHOLS FORMBY went to Oglethorpe around that time. I know that the FORMBY family moved to Walton, GA and that is where Nathan died. Tabitha moved to Troup, GA and she died there. William H. MOORE in 1820 was found in Monroe, GA and that is where Moses married Celia REYNOLDS 30 June 1826. Both families moved to Morgan around 1830 and later moved to LaGrange, Troup County, GA. Both Moses and his mother were found in Troup during the 1840 and 1850 census. This is where William H. and Mary are buried. Moses later moved to Upshur County, Texas and that is where he and Celia died. I what I really would like to know is what happen to William DAY. If anyone can help me or give me an idea of where to look, it would be very much appreciated.
