    3. Hi Judy B. I have Halifax co. VA deeds 1767-1784. I don't mind looking up one name for anyone but the last time I offered to do lookups many people were right down RUDE in their demands that I copy and sent them every thing listed for all of the "Smiths" etc. In one instance there were over 100 interies for the name they requested. So if you ask nicely I will look up one or two names for you. If you are rude and demanding I will just delete your message. Ha :) JoAnn C. JoAnn

    3. Does anyone have any data from Halifax, VA. Seems that most of our relatives were there at some point. Is there any census, marriages, deaths or anything on the net that we can look at? Seems that I read about the trail that most people took to the south, does anyone have that info. When I was in school, I wouldn't have given you two cents for history, but, boy, do I wish I had all the info at hand now. Maybe some of you younger people still remember all that stuff and can share it with us. I'm listening now!! JudyB

    2. Mike Kelly
    3. OK, maybe I will just get it started again. I know it has been awhile since I posted and am sure there are many new people on the list. In 1869 my g-g-grandfathers sister Carrie KELLY married a man Jowel (Joel) WALKER. They moved to West Point, GA which I have heard is in Troupe County. I know Carrie died in 1880 leaving children. This is all I have on either family. If you have any info I would be willing to share. Mike Kelly

I have several Joel Walkers from two different Walker families in Georgia. One of these Walker families had descendants who went to Troup Co. Barbara Good

    3. Hi Doris: Yes, there are a few of us "left" on this list. I sent a message last week with the same sort of questions and I received quite a few answers, however, haven't received any other mail either from the list or from Hilda. Don't know what is going on, however, as everyone says, keep sending mail to the list 'cause someone will see it. Maybe everyone has given out of things to say at present<g>. Hope to hear from all of you shortly (maybe not personally, but via the list). I hope this list keeps going. 3. Hello Everyone: As far as I can ascertain, no one has gotten any mail since about 16 Sept. Maybe no one has anything to send at this point in time, however, it just seemed unusual that, for a while, everyone was sending messages "hot and heavy", then "nothing". Seems like someone said that Hilda was having computer problems and I think she also said that she was getting "harassed" from someone but didn't say about what or who was doing this. Maybe everything will work out soon and Hilda will be back online. Don't think that Hilda has to really do anything when the messages are addressed properly, etc. If anyone hears anything, I would really appreciate your letting the list know. I have somewhat of a "vested" interest in this link as I grew up in LaGrange, Georgia and even though I have been gone a number of years (longer than I want to o remember), it still holds a special interest and place with me. 2. Dear Liz, Just looking back through my mal and found that I'd never replied to this post. Since I was the person asking so often about the Traylors, I assume you posted it primarily for my eyes! If so, Ia pologize for not answering sooner. Unfortunately, these are not "my" Traylors. I know there were bunches of them in Troup, so I'm sure someone will benefit.
