Surnames: Spear Thompson Carter McCrone Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/0d.2ADE/1432.1 Message Board Post: The 1860 Thomas County census shows Mary McCrone, age 50, head of household 892 with 5 children (I didn't record their names) and James Carter (age 24) and wife Sarah (age 15). That was my great grandmother Sarah Spear's and her first husband, James M. Carter. He was listed as "manager". Sarah Spear's sister Nancy Spear married Amon H. Thompson (they are buried at Boston, in Thomas County). I understand that the McCrone and Thompson families were perhaps interrelated.
