Since Companies F & H was mustered out of Thomas I will work on the assumption the soldiers returned and lived and died in the county they mustered at for the war, thus far my assumption has proven true with some of the other Companies Veterans. I start with looking for the oldest cemeteries in the county and or ones that will have death dates up to the 1930s. Could y'all supply me with a list of what y'all think or know as the TOP 5 or 10 oldest cemeteries? I have the USGS cemetery listings for Thomas county and also a Georgia DOT map which has many listed but as you know they do not determine if they are a cemetery created in the last 20 years or 150 etc, as you can see only having a week to roam all over the county it can cut down on waisted time if I can narrow down my search to the cemeteries most likely to have the Vets.
