Just to let everyone know of the most amazing Genealogy Library located in the town square of Bartow, FL. The resources there are amazing. Focus is on the southern states, but they do have resources on many of the "other" states. It is well worth a trip. I have traveled 2.5 hrs several times to spend the day there. They have worked on collecting books on counties, cities, etc. relating to historical and genealogy. Tons of microfilm too. You can only take in a pad and pencil..no pens. Lockers are provided for pocketbooks, etc. You can only take so many books off the shelves at a time. You can photocopy for a small fee. DO NOT TRY AND PLACE THE BOOKS BACK ON THE SHELVES yourself. LOL. They frown on that and will let you know about it as I found out. I found it by accident when traveling through there one day and my mouth literally fell open when I saw the resources available.
