    3. Gandy, H. H. b Dec. 21, 1840 d Jul 20, 1863 Buried Mt. Zion P. B. Church in Coolidge, GA. It has a CSA Flag, no doubt placed for Confederate Memorial day, however there is no CSA Marker Anyone know the Unit and Company he served with. Did he die in battle? I am trying to update the cemetery and was amazed how info is missing. Thanks, Winnette

    3. If this was W. H. H. Gandy he served as a private in Co E of the 50th Georgia Infantry Regiment (Thomas County Rangers) and he was reported to have died at Richmond, VA, prior to 29 March 1864. If this information is correct, it would be unusual for him to have been buried at Coolidge, but certainly not impossible.
