Included in these are the names Leon E. Tschantre and Arnold J. Tschantre, both jewelers. Tschantre is my family name and I have some records on the Tschantres dating back to 1700 in Switzerland. There were several siblings in several generations and my feeling is that many came to the U.S., as did my great grandfather Fritz August (Fred) Tschantre. He was one of 9 children and the chances that one or two of his sisters or brothers emigrated as well are good. Anything I can give you to help in your search your are welcome to.
